How to Schedulea Visionworks Eye Exam Online
Scheduling an eye exam at Visionworks has never been simpler. Tell us when you want to be seen by scrolling through our exams by day. Would you rather find a location near your office? You can sort by distance! Have an immediate eye care need? You can list the next available appointment to show you the stores with the earliest openings.
Here's how to book your next Visionworks eye exam online. We've done our best to make scheduling your appointment fast, convenient and simple!
Please note: These instructions show how to schedule an exam using a smartphone. Scheduling on a desktop is a little different than on a phone, so we provide additional instructions as needed.
1. Get Started
On Visionworks.com, there are two ways to start scheduling.
Across the top of the page, next to the Visionworks logo: Book Exam. On a desktop, click on Find a Store & Book Exam in the same location.
Or, at the bottom on your screen, click on the Schedule Now button.
2. Select a Location
The scheduler displays a field where you can fill in your Zip Code or City, State. If your phone or computer allows access to your GPS location, the scheduler lists available appointment dates at the nearest location, the number of appointments available on each date, and store information about that location.
If the location you want to visit is shown, click on SCHEDULE EYE EXAMS. If not, choose another location by entering your Zip Code into the field just beneath SCHEDULE AN EYE EXAM NEAR ME or enter the City and State.
Helpful tip: In many U.S. states, once you select a location, the scheduler takes you to a page for that location, where you can get more information about that store and select your appointment date and time. In other states, for regulatory reasons, after choosing a location, the scheduler displays a message informing you that you will be directed to the independent doctor of optometry to schedule your eye exam.
If you see this message, just click CONTINUE to go to the independent doctor of optometry’s website to schedule your exam. In this case, you can skip the rest of the steps below.
3. Select your preferred eye exam date and time.
After you enter your location, you’ll see a screen like this.
Note: If you are using a desktop, a location map displays, pinpointing nearby locations.
Notice that locations are listed with the one closest to you at the top. The horizontal calendar shows the available appointments by day—the total for all locations listed. Use the arrows to scroll through the dates to find one that works for you.
Right under the EXAMS BY DAY calendar, there's text showing the date and number of the first available appointments at the top location.
If you scroll down the list of other locations, each location shows its first available appointment, if there are any. If you see an exam date that works for you at one of the locations shown, click on its SCHEDULE EYE EXAMS button. Now, skip to Step 4.
If it's important for you to get the earliest available eye exam appointment, you can sort the list by Next Available Exam. Simply click on the radio button.
The list is re-sorted and the earliest appointment is displayed at the top. Often, you can book an appointment on the same day!
Once you've identified the appointment date that works for you, click on the SCHEDULE EYE EXAMS button for that location.
4. Schedule your eye exam.
Click on the date you want, then click on your preferred time.Then, click the CONTINUE button.
5. Enter the patient information.
Enter your first and last name, date of birth, zip code, and phone number. If you want to receive texts, keep the box checked.
Enter your email address. If you want to receive emails from us, keep the box checked.
6. Confirm your appointment.
The system displays a summary of your appointment details that looks like this.
Take a moment to verify these details and the patient information you entered to make sure everything is accurate. To make changes, click the PREVIOUS button. If everything looks good, click the BOOK NOW button.
Soon you'll receive an email confirmation and occasional email and/or mobile text reminders, if you've opted in for these.
Scheduling your eye exams online is an easy and convenient time saver. Remember to bring proof of insurance, contacts, glasses and past prescription information to your appointment. We also recommend making notes on your medical history and any vision questions you have.
